Botanical Description

A root climber. Stem 0.2 cm or more in diameter, exuding milky sap, glabrous; Bark light brown to dark brown. Leaves alternate, simple, entire, elliptic to obovate, apex acuminate to caudate, base cuneate to obtuse; blade 5.5 -12 cm long, 4.5 – 8.5 cm broad, glabrous, slightly scabrous; petiole 0.4 – 0.8 cm long; petiolule 0.3 – 0.5 cm; venation pinnately netted, brochidodromous. Fruit a synconium, axillary, globose.

Distribution Ecology

Found in limestone forest and secondary forest of Quezon and Bicol.
