A tendril climber. Stem 0.5 cm or more in diameter, without exudate, smooth to slightly fissured, glabrous; outer bark brown. Tendrils green, leaf opposed, with tendril and leaf arising from the tip of one stalk, spirally coiled. Leaves alternate, simple, serrate, ovate to elliptic, apex acuminate, base shallowly cordate to obtuse. Venation palmately netted.
